I used ToonDoo to create this artifact to visually represent my Genius Hour project. It's a neat little tool that students can use to create artifacts for their own projects. As a teacher, I found the template slightly slow and a little frustrating to use, however I could definitely see how a child in say, Primary/Junior, would find this sort of interactive website super fun! It has hundreds of different characters, clipart, and backgrounds that the student could use to really get creative with trying to tell a story.
The only thing I would really comment on is saving and sharing the artifact once it was created. I was easily able to drag the comic strip into my photos, but the resolution is not very high, so the words especially look slightly blurry. It also doesn't allow for accent shortcuts, so using this in a French setting for example, might be a bit harder.
If anyone has trouble reading what this artifact says, I will transcribe below!
Box 1: I wish we didn't speak so much English at home so I could practice my Polish!
Box 2: Maybe if I practice and teach myself a little every day for a few weeks, my Polish will improve!
Box 3: Nie mogę się doczekać! I can't wait to start! I hope this works!
