The difference between assessment for, as, and of learningAssessment for learning is diagnostic/formative. It is used to guide instruction by seeing what the students know about a subject before you teach it.  It is also helpful when providing Feedback for students.Assessment as learning is formative.  Students are responsible for self-assessment and self-reflection.  They are looking at their own work and assessing it in order to further build on their learning/understanding.Assessment of learning is summative. This type of assessment includes quizzes, tests, projects, products, etc.  Its purpose is for reporting progress, decision making around promotion to higher grades, and for documenting evidence of learning.Closer to understanding the differences between level 1, 2, 3, 4, when it comes to analyzing student work, but could still use more practice. It is very beneficial to get more than one opinion on how to mark something, as the level you originally might think the work is at could change based on discussions and collaboration with other teachers.I  learned the importance of consistent and constant feedback for students, and how to teach them to take feedback, apply feedback, and give appropriate feedback to their peers.
